This 6-foot-on-center wood railing kit for decks and porches comes in a ready-to-build kit, complete with balusters. The flat, rectangular aluminum balusters are face-mounted to the top and bottom rails. The rails are available in 3 types of wood that resist insects and rot: solid cedar, pressure-treated, or color treated. Color-treated rails are pressure-treated wood infused with colorant, so you won’t need to stain them. To lock in color, waterproof as needed. To complete your railing, you’ll need posts and post caps, not included. Not recommended for stairs.
