Simpson Strong-Tie PC4Z ZMAX 4x Galvanized Post Cap

The Simpson Strong-Tie PCZ series of post caps are used to attach the top of posts to beams. The next-generation PC4Z post caps are designed with their post and beam flanges in-line so that one PC4Z model can accommodate several post sizes. The PC4Znow uses easier-to-install 10d common nails. An alternate choice of fasteners is Strong-Drive #9×1 1/2″ SD Connector screws. The PC4Z post cap is approved to be installed with the specified nails or with Strong-Drive SD connector screws. The Strong-Tie PC4Z post base features a G185 ZMAX galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.
