Fisch Wave Cutter Forstner bits are first drop forged to compress the steel improving hardness and strength and increasing edge retention. These bits are then ground on CNCs to produce true concentric (no vibration) and true to size dimensionally accurate bits. The patented “Wave Cutter” outside rim cutting edge is scalloped to slice through wood fibers which reduces heat generation increasing tool life by 3-4 times over standard forstner bits. These “Waves” also act to score the perimeter of the hole producing super smooth, accurate and straight holes with less splintering. These bits require up to 25% less power to use due these ideal cutting geometries. These bits are designed for drill presses, cordless and corded portable drills. The center point allows easy starting with no wandering and allows drilling of overlapping and angled holes. Bits have 2 straight cutting edges to produce true flat bottom holes. Bits can be resharpened up to 30 times. These bits are designed for both soft and hardwoods. Overall lengths are 3-1/2”. Shanks are round.
