NPT Pipe Tap is used for cutting internal threads. This heavy-duty pipe tap is made from tool steel that is titanium nitride coated for reduced friction. Pipe tap sizing consists of two numbers; the first number refers to the diameter of the hole being threaded, the second number states the number of threads per inch. Made with quality tool steel that’s titanium nitride coated to reduce friction. First 3 to 5 threads are tapered to assist with straight and accurate start for threading. Pipe tap designed to thread new or rethread existing holes.
