Making a taper on a piece of wood is difficult with only a table saw and is dangerous attempting free-hand. You get a good cut quality from a table saw and the benefit of a straight cut from the taper jig. The handle and work stop can be assembled to either arm and changed as needed for all left or right hand applications. It is constructed from sturdy aluminum and adjusts to a maximum taper of 15 degrees (3 inches per foot).
