If you have a direct vent fireplace, the termination of your horizontal vent needs this wall terminal/vinyl siding shield to protect the exterior of your home from the heat that will exit the vent during fireplace operation. This terminal/siding shield is not appropriate for use with the Napoleon Madison direct vent gas fireplaces and the LHD50 Linear Series gas fireplaces.
